Humboldt came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Cherryvale Chargers. The Cubs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Humboldt pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cherryvale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.

Coming up, Humboldt will be playing in front of their home fans against Osage City at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cherryvale, they will face off against Eureka at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers are facing the Tornadoes at the right time seeing as the Tornadoes are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
