Ursuline Academy extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to five on Wednesday, bumping them up to 4-0. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Westminster Christian Wildcats. The game was the first time the Bears have beaten the Wildcats on their court since August 30, 2017.

As for Westminster Christian, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since August 29th.

Westminster Christian's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vivian Sharlow, who had seven digs and two aces. Sharlow is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 21 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Sophia Arana was another key player, getting 15 assists and ten digs.

Looking ahead, Ursuline Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Libertyville at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Westminster Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Burroughs on the 11th.
