Volleyball Recap: Rigby Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Madison

Rigby faced Madison in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Trojans fell 2-0 to the Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Thursday.

Rigby was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 17 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Rigby still got an impressive performance from Breleigh Youngstrom, who had 16 digs. Youngstrom is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Rigby's loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 24-5. As for Madison, the win keeps them at an undefeated 20-0.

Rigby wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Eagle on the 27th. As for Madison, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 27th.
