Basketball Game Preview: Haverford School Fords vs. Episcopal Academy Churchmen

The Haverford School Fords will head out to square off against the Episcopal Academy Churchmen at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Haverford School has four straight wins, Episcopal Academy has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, Haverford School earned a 54-41 victory over Germantown Academy. Given the Fords' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Patriots are ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Episcopal Academy ended up a good deal behind William Penn Charter last Friday and lost 59-45.

Episcopal Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Haverford School, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4.

Haverford School was able to grind out a solid victory over Episcopal Academy when the teams last played back in January, winning 74-67. The rematch might be a little tougher for Haverford School since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
