Valor Christian is 7-2 against Chatfield since August of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles will head out to take on the Chargers at 6:30 p.m. Valor Christian will be strutting in after a win while Chatfield will be coming in after a defeat.

Valor Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Legend, who was ranked sixth at the time (Valor Christian was ranked second). The Eagles came out on top against the Titans by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Valor Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-23, 26-24, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Chatfield came up short against Denver South last Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Chatfield started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-10, 25-23, 25-18.

Valor Christian's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Chatfield, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Valor Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Chatfield when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
