Basketball Recap: Lee Williams Takes a Loss

Lee Williams lost against Flagstaff back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lee Williams Volunteers had to suffer through a 49-16 loss at the hands of the Flagstaff Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Volunteers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Eagles are ranked 40th).

Lee Williams has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Flagstaff, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lee Williams will venture away from home to square off against Coconino at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Flagstaff, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mohave at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
