Eastern View and Caroline are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Cyclones will be playing at home against the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Eastern View 3, Caroline 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Eastern View will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Courtland, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Cyclones came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 7-3 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cyclones.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Caroline). They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Freeman on Wednesday. The Cavaliers not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 13, 2024 (when they won 12-0).

The team relied heavily on Baylor Storke, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Satterwhite, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Caroline always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Eastern View pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Caroline, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Eastern View suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Caroline when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Cyclones avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
