Soccer Recap: Santiago Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Corona, Santiago was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the King Wolves, sneaking past 1-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in January.

Santiago's win bumped their record up to 8-5-3. As for King, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-9-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santiago will head out to challenge Norco at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Santiago's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for King, they and Centennial will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Centennial's last five matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
