Football Recap: Atlantic Eagles vs. St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders
Atlantic and St. Thomas Aquinas squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Atlantic had to settle for second. They took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (35), the Eagles still had to take the loss.
Teddy Hoffmann and Lincoln Graf certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hoffmann picked up 240 receiving yards and four touchdowns, while Graf threw for 339 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Graf is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played. James Jones did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 72 receiving yards.
St. Thomas Aquinas was led to victory by Andrew Indorf and Cedric Wyche Ll. Indorf threw for 330 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.1% of his passes, while Wyche Ll gained 195 total yards and four touchdowns. St. Thomas Aquinas is 9-1 when Indorf posts 250 or more passing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Ah?Mari Stevens also helped with two touchdowns in total.
