Volleyball Recap: Regents Takes a Loss

Regents was the 3-2 winner over Round Rock Christian Academy when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Regents took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-14, 22-25, 25-14, 15-7.

Lauren Woodard was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 13 assists and eight digs. That's the most assists she has posted over her last 14 matchups. Arden Dyess also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Regents' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-1. As for Round Rock Christian Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Regents will face off against San Marcos Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Round Rock Christian Academy, they will take on Heritage Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
