Softball Recap: New Castle Takes a Loss

The New Castle Hurricanes came up short against the Upper St. Clair Panthers on Tuesday and fell 6-3. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aliyah Stalczynski made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Keara Mangieri also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

New Castle's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Upper St. Clair, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Castle will challenge Neshannock at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Upper St. Clair, they will take on Trinity at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
