Basketball Recap: Culpeper County Skates Past Maggie Walker with Ease

Culpeper County won the last time they faced Maggie Walker and things went their way on Thursday too. The Culpeper County Blue Devils simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Maggie Walker 81-34. The Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Culpeper County was led to victory by AmyAh Robinson and Kelley Hutcherson. Robinson went 17 of 31 on her way to 45 points, while Hutcherson dropped a triple-double on 16 points, ten boards, and 14 assists. Robinson's evening made it 35 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Anouk Nollmeyer also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Maggie Walker's loss came despite strong showings from Jamie Martin and Rhaiyn Preston. Martin posted 19 points, while Preston put up eight points. That was a full 55.9% of Maggie Walker's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.
