Baseball Game Preview: Perryton Rangers vs. Randall Raiders

Perryton is 0-10 against Randall since March of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rangers will be playing at home against the Raiders at 5:00 p.m.

On Friday, Perryton came up short against Borger and fell 5-2.

Perryton got a good showing from Cash Wheeler, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Those zero earned runs gave Wheeler a new career-low.

At the plate, Perryton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Schilling, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Angel Hernandez also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Randall). They came out on top against Hereford by a score of 16-13 on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Raiders as they're now sitting on five straight.

Randall pushed their record up to 17-7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Perryton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16.
