League recap: Our Lady of Good Counsel tops Bishop O'Connell to extend winning streak

Our Lady of Good Counsel extended the longest winning streak in Washington Catholic this week by beating Bishop O'Connell, 30-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Falcons.

Our Lady of Good Counsel took down the Knights 30-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Dorian O'Daniel ran for 156 yards in the win.

Bob Milloy's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brendan Marshall threw for 106 yards and Kendall Fuller had 65 yards receiving. Andre Levrone helped Our Lady of Good Counsel's passing attack out by catching three balls for 34 yards.

6-foot-0 quarterback Leighton Dassau of Bishop O'Connell is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1083. He has also thrown 10 touchdowns. On the ground, the Falcons' O'Daniel has rushed for 968 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Fuller. The Our Lady of Good Counsel star has 33 catches for 523 yards.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Our Lady of Good Counsel and Archbishop Carroll. The Falcons comes into the matchup ranked first in the state, while the Lions ranks 14th.

O'Daniel of the Our Lady of Good Counsel is only 32 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.

Two highly touted recruits will be in the spotlight when DeMatha and Bishop McNamara meet this week. The Stags features well-regarded freshman Terrance Davis while the Mustangs has Damian Prince, a sought after junior.

Bishop McNamara led Washington Catholic in scoring this week after putting up 37 points on Rick Houchens' team.
