Baseball Recap: New Haven Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Clair, New Haven was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They skirted past the Silex Owls 4-2. For the Shamrocks, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Owls walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

New Haven has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Silex, they moved to 11-6 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

New Haven and Silex could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. The Shamrocks will challenge Montgomery County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (333 vs. 149). Meanwhile, Silex (ranked 269th) will meet North Callaway (ranked 106th) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
