Baseball Recap: South Hunterdon Starts Season with Win on the Road

South Hunterdon had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Paulsboro Red Raiders with a sharp 13-7 win.

Trevor Lingerfield and Ed Cooper did most of the damage at the plate: Lingerfield scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Cooper scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Parisi, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Looking ahead, South Hunterdon is taking a road trip to face off against Voorhees at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Paulsboro, they will square off against West Deptford at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
