Basketball Game Preview: St. Francis Episcopal Wolves vs. Lancaster Tigers

The St. Francis Episcopal Wolves will face off against the Lancaster Tigers at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

St. Francis Episcopal is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Episcopal 102-46. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Nigel Walls was his usual excellent self, going 11 for 15 on his way to 28 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Hodge, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Lancaster unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Guyer.

St. Francis Episcopal pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.2 points per game. As for Lancaster, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.

St. Francis Episcopal was able to grind out a solid victory over Lancaster in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, winning 68-59. Does St. Francis Episcopal have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lancaster turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
