Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Homewood). They took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging an 89-59 victory over the Hayden Wildcats. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 21 points or more this season.

Homewood is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 17-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Hayden, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Homewood won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Altamont at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Homewood has three straight wins, Altamont has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court. As for Hayden, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Fairview at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hayden knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Fairview likes a good challenge.
