Softball Recap: Strasburg Takes a Loss

Strasburg's last matchup with Page County could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Rams lost 6-0 to the Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rams have suffered since May 23, 2024.

Strasburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenley Arnold, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Strasburg's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Page County, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 15-3.

Looking ahead, Strasburg will be playing at home against Luray at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.35 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Page County, they will venture away from home to square off against Stonewall Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
