Softball Recap: Mooresville Christian Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Mooresville Christian's offense. They lost 16-0 to Irvington Preparatory Academy on Monday. The loss leaves the Eagles still looking for their first win of the season.

Mooresville Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dakota Parlsey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Parlsey is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Lillian Keller also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Mooresville Christian's record is now 0-4. As for Irvington Preparatory Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mooresville Christian will face off against Edinburgh at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Irvington Preparatory Academy, they will square off against Eminence at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
