Basketball Recap: Jefferson Davis Academy Takes a Loss

Jefferson Davis Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 52-17 loss at the hands of the Curtis Baptist Crusaders. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-8.

Curtis Baptist's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaliyah Terry led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. Terry's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. Maci Butler was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Jefferson Davis Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Curtis Baptist, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Jefferson Davis Academy nor Curtis Baptist have any future games scheduled.
