Football Recap: Rutherford Beats Waldwick/Midland Park for Their Third Straight Win

Rutherford lost to Waldwick/Midland Park back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Bulldogs blew past the Warriors 38-14. Fans of the Bulldogs have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Despite the loss, Waldwick/Midland Park still got an impressive performance from Luciano Mayer, who rushed for 155 yards and one score while picking up 9.7 yards per carry.

The victory was the third in a row for Rutherford, bringing their record up to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.3 points on average this season. As for Waldwick/Midland Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
