Katahdin is a perfect 10-0 against Fort Fairfield since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Cougars will face off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Katahdin has 13 straight wins, Fort Fairfield has 26 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Katahdin and Hodgdon have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Cougars put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Fort Fairfield duked it out with Central Aroostook on Monday. The Tigers came up short against the Panthers, falling 14-4.

Katahdin pushed their record up to 13-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 13.4 runs thus far. As for Fort Fairfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.

Everything went Katahdin's way against Fort Fairfield in their previous matchup last Tuesday, as Katahdin made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
