Soccer Recap: Lafayette Triumphs

Alexandria typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Lafayette proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Alexandria Trojans. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by just one goal.

The win made it two in a row for Lafayette and bumps their season record up to 8-4-6. As for Alexandria, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lafayette will challenge Southside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Alexandria, they will take on Holy Savior Menard at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
