Football Recap: Crestwood Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jayden Martin and Calvin Wofford

Crestwood lost against Hartsville back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Knights fell 34-21 to the Red Foxes. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Crestwood's loss came despite strong showings from Calvin Wofford and Jayden Martin. Wofford rushed for 175 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, while Martin gained 148 total yards. Wofford's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 109 rushing yards. Another rusher making a difference was Brayden Boults, who gained 119 total yards.

Hartsville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ford Wallace, who threw for 160 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 41 yards. Dorian Mason was another key player, picking up 83 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Crestwood's record now sits at 4-4. As for Hartsville, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

Coincidentally, Crestwood and Hartsville will both be playing Darlington the next time they take the field. The Red Foxes will head out to face the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Knights will host them at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
