Football Game Preview: Wilder vs. Idaho City

Wilder will challenge Idaho City on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Each team will be battling to keep their 3-game winning streak alive.

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Wilder and Council. Everything went Wilder's way against Council last Friday as the team secured a 65-0 victory. No one put up better numbers for Wilder than junior Pablo Martinez, who brought his A game into the match. He passed for 243 yards and 4 touchdowns. Near the top of the highlight reel was Martinez's 65-yard TD bomb to Ismael Cortez in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, everything went Idaho City's way against Tri-Valley as they made off with a 42-12 win. With Idaho City ahead 34-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 3-0. The Wilder defense got after the quarterback against Council to the tune of 8 sacks, so Idaho City's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the matchup.
