Baseball Recap: St. John's Christian Academy Find Success

St. John's Christian Academy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the First Baptist School Hurricanes by a score of 5-2. The victory continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their matchups with the Hurricanes: they've now won six in a row.

Sumter Moorer made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacob Glover, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

The win got St. John's Christian Academy back to even at 1-1. As for First Baptist School, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
