Primero gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They blew past the Walsh Eagles, posting a 73-31 victory at home. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 58-26 loss the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.

Brett Kendall had a dynamite game for Primero, rushing for 271 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 166 yards and four touchdowns. Kendall's longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another receiver making a difference was Gabe Sintas, who picked up 128 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

Primero's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jairo Vicente Dominguez. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last eight games he's played dating back to last season.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Primero was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 552 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Walsh only gained 365.

Primero will face off against Manzanola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Walsh, they will be defending their home-field for the first time this season they go up against Cotopaxi at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Cotopaxi focused on turnovers this week as team gave up seven on Friday.
