Volleyball Recap: South Mountain Takes a Loss

South Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Browne Bruins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Tuesday.

South Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Browne, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

South Mountain will take on Camelback at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Browne, they will venture away from home to challenge Cesar Chavez at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bruins will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: the Champions will have lost nine straight heading into Thursday's game.
