Recap: St. George's Gryphons vs. Harding Academy Lions
The St. George's Gryphons pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 65-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harding Academy. St. George's has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, St. George's saw an underclassman step up: Rollin Crose scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Silas Jones, who scored 12 points along with six assists and three steals.
St. George's has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Harding Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.
St. George's will head out on the road to square off against the Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. First Assembly Christian will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. Harding Academy will take on the Defenders at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
