Baseball Game Preview: Lansdowne Vikings vs. Loch Raven Raiders

The Lansdowne Vikings will take on the Loch Raven Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Lansdowne and 12 for Loch Raven dating back to last season.

Lansdowne came up short against Sparrows Point on Tuesday, falling 14-2.

Michael Lambert made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Tyler Umstead also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Loch Raven played against Randallstown on Tuesday and lost via forfeit.

Lansdowne's loss dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Loch Raven, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Lansdowne took their win against Loch Raven in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 19-1 score. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
