Football Recap: High Point Central Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

High Point Central had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 59-0 loss at the hands of the Asheboro Blue Comets. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Asheboro found their leader in sophomore Connor Brinton, who rushed for 43 yards and three TDs. Cole Trogdon was in the mix too, providing the Blue Comets with one touchdown.

Looking ahead, High Point Central will host Western Guilford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Asheboro, they will head out on the road to square off against Northwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
