King's Academy took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Milpitas, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Trojans 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted against the Trojans since March 2, 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day King's Academy got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 21-25, 25-16, 22-25, 15-13.

Andrew Lam paced King's Academy's offense, picking up 21 kills. Lam got some help from Andronico Netto and his 24 assists. Rocco Kjellesvig controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

King's Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-16 record this season. As for Milpitas, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-10.

As of now, neither King's Academy nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
