Recap: Ashland Blue Jays vs. Moscow Wildcats
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bucklin, the Ashland Blue Jays were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They skirted past Moscow 46-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Ashland has posted since January 16th.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ashland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lily McPhail, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McPhail has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jaya Milburn, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Ashland's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Moscow, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
Ashland won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Rolla at 6:30 p.m. on February 16th. Hopefully Rolla focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Tuesday. As for Moscow, they and Walsh will face off at 4:00 p.m. on February 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Moscow is facing Walsh at the right time seeing as Walsh is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
