Basketball Recap: California Comes Up Short

California was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 66-58 to the Frazier Commodores. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-43 back in January.

Frazier's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dailan McManus led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten assists. With that strong performance, McManus is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Conlan Higbee, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 17 points.

California's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Frazier, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-15.

California didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 80-48 loss against Springdale on the 3rd. As for Frazier, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-45 win against Brownsville on the 3rd.
