Elizabethton is a perfect 8-0 against Sullivan East since September of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Elizabethton has six straight victories, Sullivan East has 14 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Elizabethton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bryce Blevins led the charge by throwing for 195 yards and three TDs on only 16 passes. William McDuffie helped Blevins out on the ground, rushing for 68 yards and a pair of scores.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Zack Wallin, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Sullivan East came up short against Seymour last Friday, falling 36-13.

Elizabethton will have to keep a close watch on Peyton Lingerfelt and Devin Bowman, a pair of players who had a big impact on Sullivan East's prior game. Lingerfelt rushed for 91 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries, while Bowman picked up 126 receiving yards and one TD. Bowman also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making five total tackles and defending one pass.

Elizabethton's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Sullivan East, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
