Basketball Recap: Fairfield Central Takes a Loss

Fairfield Central came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Keenan Raiders, falling 59-36. If the Griffins were looking for revenge after losing 78-40 to the Raiders when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Fairfield Central lost, don't look at Rashawn Brown. Despite the final result, he went 5-for-11 on his way to 14 points and three steals. Brown is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelvin Watson, who posted seven points and six boards.

Fairfield Central now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Keenan, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairfield Central will face off against Westwood at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Keenan, they will take on James Island at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
