Basketball Recap: Kongiganak Drops Season-High Score on Kwigillingok

Kongiganak scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 67-45 to the Kwigillingok Eagles. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 41-38.

Despite the loss, Kongiganak still got an impressive performance from Gracelyn Miller, who posted 17 points. That was a full 37.8% of Kongiganak's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Julie Daniel was another key player, putting up ten points.

Bessie David was her usual excellent self, earning 33 points for Kwigillingok. Another player making a difference was Kennice Anaver, who scored 13 points.

Kongiganak dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Kwigillingok, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Kongiganak has already played their next matchup, a 67-38 loss against Chief Paul Memorial on the 1st. Kwigillingok does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
