Woodland won the last time they faced Zalma and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win.
Makayla Altenthal paced Woodland's offense, picking up ten kills. Altenthal got some help from Dezirae Braswell and her 11 assists. Addyson Massa controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
Woodland now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Zalma, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
Looking ahead, Woodland will be taking part in a tournament against Perryville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Zalma, they will challenge Kelly at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
