Baseball Recap: Lakewood Park Christian Takes a Loss

Lakewood Park Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the New Haven Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Lakewood Park Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andersen Mohre, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Mohre's first of the season.

Lakewood Park Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for New Haven, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Lakewood Park Christian has already played their next contest, a 10-8 defeat against Prairie Heights on the 26th. As for New Haven, they will host Fort Wayne Northrop at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bruins have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.42 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
