Softball Recap: Valley Comes Up Short

If Valley was riding high fresh off their 31-21 takedown of Florin on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings lost 19-13 to the Foothill Mustangs on Friday. The Vikings have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Foothill, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Valley and Foothill will both be playing Fairfield the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will head out to face the Falcons at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Vikings will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
