Magnolia Science Academy waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Vista Meridian Meridian Eagles with a sharp 54-31 victory. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.

Among those leading the charge was Carlos Ayala Rocha, who posted 19 points and five boards. Burak Keskinturk was another key player, putting up six points along with 11 rebounds and eight blocks.

Magnolia Science Academy pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Vista Meridian, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Magnolia Science Academy will challenge Eastside Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastside Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Vista Meridian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 42-34 loss against Liberty Christian on the 25th.
