Volleyball Recap: Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals vs. Maroa-Forsyth Trojans

Warrensburg-Latham and Maroa-Forsyth squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Warrensburg-Latham had to settle for second. They fell 2-0 to the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Cardinals haven't been shut out since back in September.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Maroa-Forsyth to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brynn Jostes, who had 16 digs. Jostes is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Crouch, who had five digs and ten assists.

Warrensburg-Latham's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-13. As for Maroa-Forsyth, they now have a winning record of 16-15.

Warrensburg-Latham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Maroa-Forsyth, they will challenge Deer Creek-Mackinaw at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Deer Creek-Mackinaw is coming into the contest with eight straight defeats on the road, meaning Maroa-Forsyth will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
