Soccer Game Preview: Orange vs. Eastern Alamance

Orange is 1-9 against Eastern Alamance since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Panthers will square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

Things were looking good for Orange after they put the first goal on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Seaforth. While losing is never fun, Orange can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 257th, while Seaforth are ranked 113th).

Meanwhile, Eastern Alamance's contest on Wednesday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Southeast Alamance. The result was nothing new for Eastern Alamance, who have now won ten matches by three goals or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Eastern Alamance and bumps their season record up to 14-3-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Orange, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8-3.
