Baseball Game Preview: Tahanto Regional Stags vs. Gardner Wildcats

The Tahanto Regional Stags will venture away from home to challenge the Gardner Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Tahanto Regional is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Tahanto Regional lost 7-1 to Clinton on Friday.

Tahanto Regional saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tom Chamberlain, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Gardner faced off against Ayer Shirley on Friday. The Wildcats came up short against the Panthers, falling 13-4. The Wildcats have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Tahanto Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Gardner, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Tahanto Regional couldn't quite finish off Gardner in their previous meeting back in April and fell 5-3. Can the Stags avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
