Softball Game Preview: Clarion-Limestone Lions vs. DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals

Clarion-Limestone hasn't had much luck against DuBois Central Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Lions will be playing at home against the Cardinals at 4:15 p.m. DuBois Central Catholic took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Clarion-Limestone, who comes in off a win.

Clarion-Limestone took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Johnsonburg with a sharp 15-4 victory. The Lions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 18 runs the game before, DuBois Central Catholic was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They came up short against St. Marys, falling 7-1.

Rylee Kulbatsky spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 17 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

DuBois Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Clarion-Limestone, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.
