Soccer Game Preview: Flushing vs. Lapeer

The Flushing Raiders will face off against the Lapeer Lightning on Wednesday. Flushing's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Lapeer's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Flushing is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Airport just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Saturday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw. The result kept Flushing happy, as they haven't lost a game since April 25th.

Meanwhile, Lapeer entered their tilt with Holly on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Bronchos 8-1. Considering Lapeer have won six contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Lapeer's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those four games. With that draw, Flushing's record moves to 14-2-1.
