Recap: Flora Wolves vs. Mt. Carmel Golden Aces
This season hasn't been kind to the Flora Wolves, who are still winless after their fifth game. They took a serious blow against Mt. Carmel on Monday, falling 61-28. Flora was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-11.
Mt. Carmel got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Maycee Randall out in front who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Randall has scored at least 25% of Mt. Carmel's points. Another player making a difference was Madison Stevens, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Flora's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Mt. Carmel, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flora will square off against Hamilton County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Hamilton County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. Mt. Carmel's road trip will continue as they head out to face Marshall at 6:00 p.m. on November 30th. Marshall is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
