Baseball Game Preview: Woodside Wildcats vs. Lincoln Mustangs

The Woodside Wildcats will challenge the Lincoln Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.

Woodside lost 9-3 to Soquel on Saturday.

Woodside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trent Amoroso, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Lincoln, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top against Aragon by a score of 6-3 on Saturday.

Mason Wong made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). Wong was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Lincoln's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Woodside, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
