Baseball Game Preview: Bremen Blue Devils vs. Ranburne Bulldogs

The Bremen Blue Devils are taking a road trip to take on the Ranburne Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Bremen is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.

Bremen barely beat Haralson County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Devils put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 10-2 win on Friday. Considering the Blue Devils have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Ranburne was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They fell 5-0 to Spring Garden. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Bremen's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-9. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Ranburne, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-16.

Bremen took their victory against Ranburne in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 11-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
